How do I review my driving instructor?

Find your driving instructor in the directory, open their profile, and click 'review this instructor'.

Driving instructors can decide not to allow any reviews. If your driving instructor has disabled reviews, the 'review this instructor' link will be greyed out.

What's a review key?

The review key allows driving instructors to ensure that only people whom they have actually taught can review them. This prevents incorrect reviews being posted accidentally or maliciously. Ask your driving instructor for the review key.

What should I write in my review?

Whatever you like, as long as it's true! For example, was your instructor patient with you? Was he or she prompt and reliable? Did you feel safe? Was your instructor knowledgeable and willing to answer all your questions?

Driving instructors are not allowed to delete or amend reviews, but they can report offensive comments, and these may be removed.

Can I control who gives me reviews?

Yes, you can. There are three levels of review control:

• Open: Everyone can review you.
• Protected: Only people to whom you have given your unique 'review key' can review you.
• Off: No reviews are allowed.

It is recommended that you allow at least protected reviews. With the growing use of the internet to research products and services, people prefer to read reviews before making their choice. Potential learners are likely to have more confidence in an instructor who has at least one good review.

If you are concerned about getting accidental or malicious reviews from people who you haven't actually taught, you can choose the 'protected' level. We will give you a 'review key': a password that you can give to your pupils, allowing them to enter the site and review you.

There are lots of people at my driving school – can I sign them all up?

No, sorry. Only the individual getting listed is allowed to sign themselves up.

However, we can set up multiple accounts for an entire school, and individual driving instructors will simply be required to activate their own accounts.

Someone wrote a bad review – can I delete it?

We're sorry, you cannot delete a bad review. However, if the review is offensive or untrue, report it to us and we will investigate.

But one bad review isn't the end of the world. Our research shows that a user is more likely to choose an instructor with one bad review and some good ones than an instructor with no reviews at all. At least they know a bit more about you. Besides, there are other considerations that will be important to learners.

Can I edit my details?

Yes, you can access and edit your details at any time through your secure account control panel.

How can I cancel?

If you decide you don't want to be listed on our site any more, you will find a 'cancel my account' in your account control panel.
